Marco Movie Spotlight: A Personal Review on Screenplay & Cinematics

Marco (2024) delivers a great cinematic experience that sets a new benchmark for action-thrillers. From its stunning background music & cinematography to the gripping screenplay, this film captures the audience’s attention and never lets go. Marco combines logical action sequences with a masterful presentation of story and character, making it a must-watch for action fans.

However the movie has the best screenplay, writing and storytelling. It keeps your attention hooked with the every character, every moment and connection between characters. We never confuse what is this and why the are doing. Marco movie is a great visual experience, if you really enjoy the action, suspense and thriller.

I watched this masterpiece three times—once in the theater and twice at home with my family. Each viewing brought out new layers of appreciation, and it’s safe to say that Marco is a cinematic treat. Here’s my in-depth review of the film, covering its key elements.

Background Music

The background music of Marco is nothing short of brilliant. The music composer & director is Ravi Basrur. the BGM adds energy and intensity to every scene. If you in enjoyed the BGMs of the Salaar movie, you are gonna love this one also. This time it is refined and fresh version of the background music.

In an interview, lead actor Unni Mukundan shared his admiration for the music, emphasizing its uniqueness compared to Ravi Basrur’s previous works. So We can say it is very different and unique background music experience for us. If you enjoyed the music of KGF or Salaar, Marco’s BGM will blow you away.

Cinematography

The cinematography of this film is excellent. Look at the first scene (the intro animation), that is crazy. If you fan of these kind of edits, it’s for you. I know this is animated but this was good. overall the other scenes of this movie, they are absolutely great. I like the Munnar and other outside locations. The close-ups are in detailed and in high quality.

One standout moment is the fight scene shot in FPP (First Person Perspective), which feels like playing a high-end video game. The camera angles during action sequences are innovative and elevate the overall experience. The cinematic scene of Marco’s dog named rocky are good.

Screenplay

Marco movie’s screenplay is engaging, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. The whole movie is enjoyable. We keep hooked with screen. If you like the action of John wick or Kill movie this is fantastic film for you. I like John Wick because we see the logical action. Every step looks and feels real.

A scene I remember when Marco was fighting he punch the person continuously and the person slightly move a side. Marco’s hand hit with tree and he display the pain with a expression. So basically these things put more impact on us. even if we did no notice these smaller things. Anyway the way director present the movie to use is the unique way. All are necessary scenes, nothing is forcefully shown up.

Action Sequences

As I say a scene where it write as a video game. That fight was good, the way he killing, hitting or finishing the villain’s gang is quite good. That scene can feel longer to some viewers. The film has way much logical actions. One thing that I felt illogical is last part. in the ending fight. Marco jump and walk on some people, jump and reach to the Cyrus Isaac, who was standing up.

Despite this, the majority of the action sequences are grounded and thrilling, reminiscent of the John Wick series.

What Makes Marco Movie Unique

What sets Marco apart is its balance of compelling characters, gripping action, and emotional depth. The antagonist, Russell (played by Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan), delivers a performance so powerful that viewers will feel a strong dislike for him—a testament to his acting skills. All movie viewers wish to finish him first, He is very cruel. So basically he put a big impact, all credit goes to his acting.

The film’s combination of logical action, engaging music, and exceptional cinematography creates a truly unforgettable experience.

So the all things, great background music, cinematic scenes, action, violence, thriller, dialogue, screenplay, writing etc. everything is great. In the end if you are that type of person who like happy ending in the end (I am saying about the fight in the Marco’s house). One thing I would like to say that, this movie have it’s unique way. In real life, there can be unbelievable thing. Okay, This is the spotlight or review of Marco.

Marco (2024) is a fantastic movie that excels in every department—screenplay, action, music, and visuals. If you’re a fan of realistic action and suspenseful storytelling, this is a must-watch. This movie is worth to watching.
